Directions to North Square in Boston's
North End
from EAST BOSTON and LOGAN AIRPORT: Take the Sumner
Tunnel. At end of the tunnel,
stay to the left and follow
the signs to "Government
Center/Route 93 South".
Stay to the left. At the top
of the exit ramp, bear right
to the lights and then continue
up North Washington Street
(passing Joe Tecce's Restaurant).
You are now in the North End.
You can turn right at the
next set of lights onto Thatcher
Street. Or, alternatively,
continue to the next major
set of lights and turn right
onto Commercial Street (at
Filippo's Ristorante). Continue
down Commercial Street through
one more set of lights to
the lights at Hanover Street.
Turn right up Hanover Street.
Public parking is also available
further down on Commercial
Street.

NORTH OF BOSTON: Take the
Route 93 South to Exit 24A (Government
Center). Upon exiting the tunnel
stay in the left. At the sign to the
North End turn left onto Atlantic
Avenue. After passing through the
lights, bear to the right and continue
up Atlantic Avenue with the Christopher
Columbus Park on your right. You are
now in the North End. You can turn
left at the next set of lights onto
Richmond Street and continue straight
for 4 blocks until you get to North
Street where you can turn right. Bear
left up the cobble-stoned street into
North Square. Alternatively,
you can continue up Atlantic Avenue
through the lights at Richmond Street
for several more blocks to the three
parking lots at Lewis and Borroughs
wharves, and then walk back to North
Square.
from SOUTH OF BOSTON: Take Route 93
North to Exit 23 to Government
Center. Stay in the right
lane. At the top of the exit
ramp, bear to the right to
the lights. Then, turn left
and continue straight to the
next set of lights at Hanover
Street. Turn right up Hanover
Street. Go through the next
set of lights (at Richmond
Street) for 2 more blocks.
Turn right down Fleet Street/Tony
DeMarco Way. At the lights
on Atlantic Avenue, you can
turn left to find Public Parking
lots. Alternatively, turn
right on Atlantic Avenue and
continue through the next
set of lights to the lights
at Richmond Street. Turn right
up Richmond Street and go
4 blocks to North Street.
Turn right up North Street
and then bear left up the
cobble-stoned street into
North Square.
from WEST OF BOSTON: Take the Massachusetts
Turnpike to the very end to
the Expressway (Route 93 -
North). Take
Route 93 North to Exit
23 to Government Center.Stay
in the right lane. At the
top of the exit ramp, bear
to the right to the lights.
Then, turn left and continue
straight to the next set of
lights at Hanover Street.
Turn right up Hanover Street.
Go through the next set of
lights (at Richmond Street)
for 2 more blocks. Turn right
down Fleet Street/Tony DeMarco
Way. At the lights on Atlantic
Avenue, you can turn left
to find Public Parking lots.
Alternatively, turn right
on Atlantic Avenue and continue
through the next set of lights
to the lights at Richmond
